Delhi Police Constable (Driver) Recruitment 2025 FOR 737 Vacancies

Important Dates

• Online Application Dates: The online application form can be submitted between **September 24, 2025, and October 15, 2025**.
• Last Date for Online Fee Payment: You can pay the application fee until **October 16, 2025** (23:00 hours).
• Application Form Correction Window: A two-day window for correcting your application form will be available from **October 23 to October 25, 2025**.
• Tentative Exam Date: The Computer Based Examination is tentatively scheduled for **December 2025 or January 2026**.

Vacancies and Pay Scale

The recruitment drive is for a total of **737** tentative vacancies for the Constable (Driver)-Male position. The pay scale for this position is Level-3 (₹21,700-69,100).

Note: – The number of vacancies is provisional and liable to change.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: Candidates must be between **21 and 30 years old as of July 1, 2025**. Age relaxation is applicable for certain categories such as SC/ST, OBC, and Ex-Servicemen.
• Essential Qualifications: To be eligible, you must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or its equivalent from a recognized Board. You must also have a valid driving license for Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV) and possess knowledge of vehicle maintenance. A Learner’s license will not be accepted.
• Note: This post is not suitable for female candidates or persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD).

Examination Process

The selection process involves several stages:

1. Computer Based Examination (CBE): This will be an objective-type multiple-choice paper with 100 questions worth 100 marks. The exam will be in both English and Hindi. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
2. Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT): Candidates who qualify the CBE will be shortlisted (20 times the number of vacancies) for the PE&MT and Trade Test.
3. Trade Test: This will assess your driving skills for Light and Heavy Motor Vehicles, as well as your knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
4. Document Verification: Required documents will be collected and verified during the PE&MT and Trade Test.
5. Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates will undergo a medical examination in government hospitals in Delhi.
