Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the official Recruitment Notification (Advt. No. RBISB/DA/03/2025-26) for Officers in Grade ‘B’ (Direct Recruit) — General, DEPR and DSIM cadres. The total number of vacancies is 120 (General: 83; DEPR: 17; DSIM: 20).

Eligibility (summary)
- Age (as on 01/09/2025): A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on September 01, 2025. In other words, the candidate must have been born not earlier than 02 September 1995 and not later than 01 September 2004 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxations are applicable as per government rules.
- Educational qualifications: Prescribed separately for each stream — General, DEPR and DSIM (see official notification for exact degree/marks requirements).
- Nationality: Citizen of India or persons from specified neighbouring countries as listed in the notification.
Application fee (summary)
- GEN/OBC/EWS: ₹850 + 18% GST (application fee + intimation charges).
- SC/ST/PwBD: ₹100 + 18% GST (intimation charges only).
- RBI staff: Nil (where applicable).
Important instructions
- Apply only online through RBI website; no other mode is accepted.
- Candidates must upload scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration as per the specifications given in Appendix-I.
- Candidates claiming reservation/relaxation (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-servicemen) must have the required certificates dated on or before the closing date of application (30 Sep 2025).
- The Board may change dates/centres and will publish corrigenda only on rbi.org.in. Check the official notification before applying.
Pay & career prospects (brief)
Officers in Grade ‘B’ will draw a starting basic pay of ₹78,450/month in the scale indicated in the notification; current estimated initial monthly gross emoluments (without HRA) are approx. ₹1,50,374/-. Service conditions, allowances and career progression are given in the notification.
