The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released an official notification for Recruitment of Assistant – Panel Year 2025. A total of 650 vacancies have been announced across various offices in India.
The selection process will consist of:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Examination
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Candidates must satisfy the nationality conditions as specified in the official notification.
Age Limit (as on 01/02/2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
- Candidates born between 02/02/1998 and 01/02/2006 (both inclusive) are eligible.
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other eligible categories as per rules.
Educational Qualification (as on 01/02/2026)
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (Pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
- Knowledge of word processing on PC.
- Proficiency in the official/local language of the state applied for.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
Shortlisted candidates must qualify the Language Proficiency Test in the local language of the respective state.
Negative Marking: 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in objective tests.
Application Fee
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: ₹50 + 18% GST (Intimation Charges)
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹450 + 18% GST
- Staff Candidates: Nil (as per eligibility)
Fees once paid are non-refundable.
Salary & Benefits
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹29,000 per month
- Initial Gross Monthly Emoluments: Approximately ₹58,514 (without HRA)
- Additional allowances and other benefits as per RBI rules.
