Eligibility & Essential Criteria
Nationality
Candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan (with Govt. of India eligibility certificate where required).
Age (as on 01.08.2025)
- General: 20 to 25 years (born between 02.08.2000 and 01.08.2005).
- Relaxations: SC/ST — 5 years; OBC — 3 years; Ex-Servicemen — as per rules (service deduction). Special departmental relaxations for Delhi Police departmental candidates are listed in the notice.
Educational Qualification (Essential)
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent on or before the closing date (16.10.2025). Candidates who have appeared for their final degree exam may apply but must possess the degree by the closing date.
Driving Licence (Delhi Police — Male candidates)
Male candidates opting for Delhi Police SI must possess a valid LMV (motorcycle & car) driving licence on the date fixed for PE&MT. Male candidates without an LMV licence are eligible only for CAPFs.
Application Fee
- Fee: ₹100 (Rupees One Hundred only).
- Exemptions: Women, SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted.
- Payment mode: Online only — BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa/MasterCard/Maestro/RuPay Debit card.
- Last date for fee payment: 17 October 2025 (23:00 hrs).
Selection Process & Exam Scheme
Stages
- Paper-I (CBT) — Objective MCQ (General Intelligence & Reasoning; General Knowledge & Awareness; Quantitative Aptitude; English Comprehension). Total: 200 marks. Duration: 2 hours with sectional timers.
- Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET) — Qualifying/Elimination nature (detailed standards in notice).
- Paper-II (CBT) — English Language & Comprehension. 200 marks. Duration: 2 hours (sectional timing as per notice).
- Medical Examination (DME/RME) — Qualifying.
- Document Verification (DV) — By the user department (CAPFs / Delhi Police).
Other points
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I and Paper-II.
- NCC bonus marks (if claimed & certified): C = 10 marks, B = 6 marks, A = 4 marks (in each paper).
- Final selection & allocation of post/force: Based on performance in Paper-I & Paper-II (including NCC bonus) and candidate’s preference of post/force (once exercised, final and irreversible).

- Follow the photograph & signature upload instructions exactly (real-time photo capture option available; Aadhaar-based authentication recommended).
- Keep printed copy of the submitted application and payment status for your records.
